FIRST “A” MATCH

March 25th was a history-making day for the GSNMC!!! We held our first “A” Match after the New Brunswick Kennel Club point show. This match goes towards qualifying us for membership as a licensed AKC Club. Fellow club member, USNMC judge and AKC provisional judge – Mr. Gonnie Schaffer – was our judge. We had 8 pre-entries. The winners were BOB – Ironwood’s Annarella and BOS Bellotti’s Lazarus. A huge THANK YOU to all the club members who helped from day one in preparation for this event.

FIRST AKC JUDGE

Our current club president – Mrs. Sharon Costello – is the first of our eight breeder Provisional AKC judges to reach full judge status!!! Way to go, Sharon!!!!!

USNMC NATIONAL

The USNMC’s 2006 National was held in conjunction with the Buck’s County Kennel Club Point Show held on May 6th. Three of our club members – Cathy White, Irene O’Connor, and Nydia Thornton were an intricate part of the dynamic VIP club. The 2006 VIP crew worked tirelessly to gain donations – both monetary and doggy related- that made the USNMC’s raffle and silent auction a huge success.

The GSNMC contributed to this success – not only as Platinum VIP members but as exhibitors also! Impressive wins were accomplished by Sharon & Charlie, Jim, Shannon, Gonnie, Ena and Bob, and Nydia.

At the USNMC Banquet, GSNMC club members, who were also USNMC members, were honored with certificates and medallions for having champions in 2004 ( David & Christina Gross) and 2005(Sharon & Charlie Costello, Bill & Donna Welty). The Eukanuba Top Dogs owners (Sharon & Charlie, David & Chrissy, Bill & Donna, Scott & Nydia) were given certificates and medallions also. The USNMC even honored their founding members with more certificates and medallions. GSNMC members that were so honored included Christopher Arts, Charles & Sharon Costello, Gonnie Schaffer, and Bill & Donna Welty.
